Assignments and Objectives of the IWR

- Creation of a centre for concentrating interdisciplinasry research as well as economic activities on the area of renewable energies.

- Initiate and support the new energy branch renewable energy industry.

Aim of this independent and neutral platform is to estsblish a center in Germany for the international linkage between science and economy on the area of renewable energies as well as to achieve a concentration of interdisciplinary researchand economic activities. The primary aim of the IWR is to present a common platform for all people involved in the different fields of science and research (e.g. science, engineering, law, economy, etc.) and the companies which normally only come in touch with those areas of renewable energies peripherally (e.g. mechanical engineering, electronic, etc.). In a first step we have laid a foundation stone with our information network in the internet with more than 750 pages (including a job and contact-market), providing 400 links and additional 1,200 (Dec 1998) national and international contacts for this branch. At present we have approximately 8,000 users (60 - 70,000 page impressions) of these information each month. The global internet lends itself to present the efficiency and the products of the manufacturers taking part world-wide.
